The Final Stretch

By magusworks

It has been a good two months since my last post.  Final exams and term projects are nearing completion which leaves with more time to catch up with my stockpile of unplayed games. It also means I have to start looking for a real job.

After all my years of schooling, I’ve become pretty familiar with which skills I have at my disposal. And it is a little disappointing to realize that I’ve become the “Jack of All Trades” when it comes to game development. I can do a bit of each area in game development such as basic 3D modeling, texturing, animating, level design, audio work, programming. But I haven’t pushed myself deep enough in any one area to become a proficient high level master. Maybe I unwittingly set myself up this way since my main career goal is to be a game designer at some point.

But enough of that, now I have to focus on getting my team’s final term project on track and have it become a portfolio showpiece.
